Iyengar Yoga invigorates the muscles and ligaments, creates space in the joints dynamically and statically, precisely aligned and adjusted in the respective skill level of difficulty. For each class, the postures from the collection of all the asanas are assembled: to match the knowledge of participants and for their physical and mental needs. There are stand attitudes, teaching pros and Rückwärtsausstreckungen, rotational stretching exercises, balance postures and inverted postures. Breathing exercises (pranayama) focus on a meditative posture.
Yoga asanas combine in a holistic experience of doing our body, mind and soul. This integration is perceived as a physical and emotional lightness, as well being. The space of possible movement - both physical and mental - is expanding.
Asanas develop their dynamic action on many levels: at the level of the body lengthen and strengthen every muscle group. This leads to more strength, dexterity and good posture. Due to the metabolic, the increased oxygen uptake and detoxification asanas strengthen equally the function of all organs and organ systems. Optimal health is maintained or restored. Equally important is the focus of attention in the asanas and breathing techniques, we improve our focus and calm the brain. On an emotional level, yoga leads to transformation: the practice of asanas and breathing can custody emotions and feelings that have taken shape in our muscles, our posture and movement, be aware and let go. Through this process the body is freed and able to find its natural balance.
Although the initial success is possible it after a few weeks or months, with more well-being, we expect the yoga in years. Then we connect our consciousness with ever deeper layers of the body experienced, and it is possible that something flashes, reflected in the calm spirit, a sense of the possibilities of our divine soul. With the energies of body, breath and spirit, we come through surrender to joy and freedom.
